TSS 001: Muscle and metabolism, Simplicity before complexity, Overcoming indecision

Build Your Body

Adding lean muscle is the number one thing, within your control, to improve your metabolism.

More muscle means more calories burned at rest.

More calories burned at rest means less time wasted with extreme diets or excessive working out.

More muscle is the easiest and most enjoyable path to looking better and burning fat.

Master Your Mind

Don’t try to optimize something before proving you can handle the basics.

  • Learn how to do a proper pushup before testing a 1 rep max bench press
  • Show up at the gym consistently before worrying about which program is best
  • Make the majority of your diet meats, vegetables, fruits, and whole foods before getting caught up in fasting or carb-counting

Master simplicity, then add complexity.

Strengthen Your Spirit

At some point you have to fight indecision, procrastination, and delay.

You have to move forward.

The first step is to stop deciding and live decided.

Decided that you won’t switch and you will see it through.

Decided that you will find a way to:

  • Make the business work
  • Make the relationship work
  • Make the new fitness journey work
  • Make the spiritual pursuit work

At the root of indecision is fear.

Fear breeds anxiety, overwhelm, doubt, and a slow death.

God did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Step forward in confidence.
